The Cameron Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development of Cameron (EDOC), and Cameron Park Board have voted unanimously to ask the Cameron City Council to impose a ½ cent Economic Development Sales Tax to be placed on the August 4, 2015 ballot.
The sales tax purpose is to reconstruct the existing swimming pool to provide a New Aquatic Center, constructing and equipping a New Ball Field Complex, and acquiring and developing land for economic development prospects, all to aid in attracting and retaining business in the City.
The first step of this process is for Cameron City Council to approve, by ordinance, placing this proposal on the August ballot.
Please join with the Chamber, EDOC, and the Cameron Park Board and ask the City Council to UNANIMOUSLY support placing this Economic Development Sales Tax on the August 4, 2015 ballot.
Allow the Citizen of the City of Cameron to VOTE on this Sales Tax proposal.
